Roswell Police Officer Jeremy Labonte Killed in Line of Duty

We are saddened to announce that Roswell Police Officer Jeremy Labonte was killed in the line of duty on Friday, February 7, 2025.

Officer Labonte joined the Roswell Police Department on November 1, 2021, continuing a lifelong commitment to public service that began well before he became a police officer. Over the years that followed, Officer Labonte faithfully and joyfully served the Roswell community as a member of the nightshift patrol alongside his D-Squad brothers and sisters. He was universally beloved by all who were blessed to know him as a friend, a husband, a son, and a public servant. His absence now leaves a void that could never be filled.

A memorial vehicle has been placed outside Roswell Police Department headquarters at 39 Hill St., where members of the public are invited to pay their respects and leave tributes in Officer Labonte’s honor.  You can also donate to the funds for the family by CLICKING HERE.

Funeral arrangements will be determined in accordance with the wishes of Officer Labonte’s family, and details will be shared publicly when appropriate.

This year’s 9/11 Memorial Ride will, in part, be dedicated to the memory of Officer Labonte and part of the proceeds raised will be donated to his family.

DATE FOR THE 2025 RIDE ANNOUNCED

We donated a check for $5000 to the family of Paulding Co. Deputy Brandon Cunningham.  His ex-wife, Brenda, accepted the check on behalf of her and Brandon’s children.  We were happy to be able to do a small part to help this family in need.
